ABOUT US
How to join us

The general aim of the Association is to foster an interest in Hurleys, in all their forms, and, in particular:

a) to keep members informed of developments concerning the Association and any proposals concerning Association Rules
b) to organise meets, afloat and ashore
c) to maintain an archive of information of general and technical interest relating to boats within the Association
d) to provide a forum for discussion and queries through a newsletter and website.

The Association is managed by a committee made up of a Chairman, Hon. Treasurer/Membership Secretary, Webmaster and three other members. Use this link to see a copy of the Rules of the Association which were updated at the 2013 AGM. To contact members of the Committee go to the Contacts page.

On joining the HOA new members will be sent a directory of members, who are the first port of call for help and advice for particular classes. We have a lot of experience between us and that is something we could all draw on from time to time. They will also receive the password granting access to the Members' Area of this site, which includes the Newsletter.

For free technical advice please email Nick Vass. Please send stuff to put on this site to Rod Coomber.

TROPHIES

HOA has a number of trophies which are awarded to members for exceptional service to the Association or the Hurley brand. The George Hurley Memorial Trophy was awarded for the first time in 2017 and on the left it is being presented to John Udy who founded HOA in 1998. Find out more about our trophies

BRING YOUR HURLEY HOME

Over the weekend of Friday 22nd - Sunday 24th July 2016, the Hurley Owners Association held a celebratory weekend in Plymouth. Under the title 'Bring Your Hurley Home' the HOA marked 50 years since the first production of the Hurley 22 and Hurley 18 and celebrated the history of Hurley Marine and the companies which succeeded it which continued to build Hurley boats into the 1990s. Here are links to a report on the event and a photo gallery.
